Hello everyone!

My journey through co-parenting has been one of profound learning, resilience, and growth. From the initial court filing to my current, soon-to-be third attempt at resolving ongoing co-parenting challenges, I have gained invaluable insights into navigating the complexities of high-conflict co-parenting relationships. These experiences have equipped me with the tools to effectively support others facing similar circumstances.

One of the most significant lessons I’ve learned is how to understand and meet the court’s expectations. Early on, I realized the importance of distinguishing what the court needs to know versus extraneous details that can detract from a case. This clarity has enabled me to refine my ability to present concise, relevant information, grounded in facts and focused on outcomes that prioritize the best interests of the child. Navigating the role of a Guardian ad Litem (GAL) was another critical area of growth.

Through trial and error, I learned to approach the GAL as a neutral party, not an ally, and to provide them with clear, evidence-based communication. Understanding the GAL’s role and how to work with (and around) their input has been key to effectively advocating for myself and my child. My co-parenting journey also spans the spectrum of legal representation, from proceeding pro se to brief experiences working with an attorney. Representing myself taught me the value of preparation, persistence, and resourcefulness. I learned to utilize available court facilitators to navigate procedures, draft documents, and better understand the nuances of family law. While working with an attorney offered valuable insights, my pro se experiences underscored the importance of self-advocacy and staying actively engaged in the process, regardless of legal representation.

Through years of high-conflict co-parenting, I have developed a nuanced understanding of the stages of co-parenting and the evolving needs of both parents and children. I’ve learned the importance of keeping agreements simple, focusing on actionable solutions, and maintaining clear boundaries to minimize misunderstandings. Recognizing that attachment and developmental stages influence co-parenting dynamics, I’ve adjusted my approach to meet these shifting demands while prioritizing stability. Above all, my experiences have taught me the necessity of resilience and adaptability in high-conflict situations. Whether it was learning to manage emotions during contentious discussions, pivoting when agreements fell through, or advocating for solutions when faced with resistance, I’ve consistently prioritized resolution over conflict.

As a Co-Parenting Pro, I bring a deep understanding of the practical and emotional realities of co-parenting.

I aim to share my insights with others to help them navigate these challenges with confidence, clarity, and compassion.
